David Ayer calls for release of his suicide cup
Just when you thought the planned release of the Snyder Cut of Justice League had put the directors to rest, suggesting that their original visions for superhero movies should be released to the world, David Ayer, who wants the world sees his original Suicide Squad cut.
Ayer, responding to a tweet from Collider's Steve Weintraub, disagreed with Warner Bros. on the release of Suicide Squad that saw the movie release, and has already noticed that he had a different approach in mind for several scenarios.
According to the sounds, the Ayer's cup of Suicide Squad would not take the same level of resources as the Justice League of Zack Snyder (who would have a budget of about 20 to 30 million dollars) and would finally allow him to show what he really wanted to do with the film.
However, there is also a problem: Warners a The Suicide Squad, a follow-up / semi-restart on the way to James Gunn next year, and having a separate cut from the original could be confusing for some audiences and remove from marketing / release of this film. We would assume that if this happens (and Snyder's release means nothing is impossible), he probably won't see any screens until the movie is gone and released in theaters.
