Edgar Wright Confirms New Last Night In Soho Release Date

There were a lot of extremely exciting new movies to look forward to in 2020 before the coronavirus pandemic started - and one of the most tantalizing was the prospect of a new film by Edgar Wright.  But, like many of the most anticipated releases this year, the arrival of Last Night In Soho has been pushed back amid the global health crisis.  It was only supposed to be a matter of months (it originally had a release date at the end of September), but was pulled from the schedules with the fate of many cinemas still in question.

Edgar Wright Confirms New Last Night In Soho Release Date, ru-news, film news, movie news,

The good news is that we now have a new Last Night In Soho release date.  The bad news is not until April 23, 2021 - but it's certainly worth the wait.  And there is more good news, as in announcing the updated release plan, Wright released a whole new plan from the film starring co-star Anya Taylor-Joy playing opposite Matt Smith.  "Haunted by someone else's past, but we'll see you in the future ... That's right, #LastNightInSoho is not quite finished yet because of Covid 19," wrote Wright.  "But, I am delighted that you all experience it, on a big screen near your home, on April 23, 2021."

The film marks Edgar Wright's first foray into total psychological horror, citing the likes of Don't Look Now and Repulsion as influences.  The details of the plot remain secret, although it involves temporal elements and takes place in part in the 1960s in London.  We will discover the full story next spring.
